Action Days, Schools, Eagles & More!

I always feel like I'm apologizing for not posting more frequently.  Sorry.  This is our busiest time of year and there's so many exciting things happening.

"Action Days"

The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation is proud to be a Member of the Alliance for Childhood Cancer.  The Alliance is once again hosting our annual "Action Days" in Washington, DC.  The purpose of our visit is to remind our elected leaders and their staffs that WE'RE HERE AND WE'RE NOT GOING AWAY.  We think that 'enough is enough'.  Kids should get a chance to grow up and shouldn't have to worry about childhood cancers.  So, whether you and your family have been touched by childhood cancer or not, I invite you to join us on April 23-24.  It's so simple...we visit the offices of our respective elected leaders.  Please email me at [email protected] to let me know if you'll be joining us.  I always like to know how much representation we have from B+ Nation.  The official registration link can be found here.

BUSY, BUSY School Season

Kids - from elementary schools to colleges - are hard at work organizing and holding B+ events to help us raise awareness and money.  Their help determines how many families we can help, how much we can help them, and how much exciting research we can fund. We had a really successful Quakeover Cancer dance marathon (Wilmington Friends/Tatnall/Tower Hill/Sanford) a couple of weeks ago and we are 9 days away from the grand-daddy of them all - UDance!  If you're in the Delaware area, come out and join 5,000-6,000 super passionate Blue Hens at the 5th largest college dance marathon in the country.  It's open to the public - Sun March 11th from 9am-9pm (4-5pm is the B+ Hero Hour...you don't want to miss this).

B+ Runners in the Big Easy

This Sunday, 20 members of the B+ Running Team will run the New Orleans Rock 'n Roll Marathon/Half Marathon.  Check out our B+ social media pages for what I'm sure will be some great pictures.  Good luck to all the runners...especially my girl, Ali!

Do You Work at a Company that Wants to Fight Childhood Cancers?

Thank you to the DelVal BMW Club for your continued support of our kids.  Thank you, also, to Berri Yummi and all of the companies that support us in our mission.  If you own or work at a company that wants to partner with us, we're ready and waiting.  Please contact me at [email protected].  Thanks.

Andrew Smiling Down

February 4th was a very bittersweet day!  On the one hand, something happened that I never thought I would see -- my Philadelphia Eagles WON the Super Bowl!!!  Actually, I still can't believe it.  On the other hand, it was sad that Andrew wasn't sitting next to me for the game.  We had a party and had many pictures of Andrew in his Eagles jerseys placed around the room.  But, it was very bittersweet celebrating without Andrew here.  But, I know my boy was smiling down on the Birds.  #FlyEaglesFly

Have a great weekend and LIVE LIKE ANDREW.  Make a difference in someone's life today.
